From 1st to 4th September: four days of initiatives – some completely new – to renew Bertinoro's vocation for hospitality.

The celebrations will start in Thursday evening 1st September with the inauguration, at 7pm, of the exhibition dedicated to the artist Marcello Di Camillo in the recently restored Hall of Paintings of the Town Hall.

Following, in Piazza della Libertà, the evening of public award ceremony of the dialect poetry competition “Omaggio a Spaldo”, curated by the Accademia dei Benigni.

At 8.30pm, in the Rocca, grand finale of the 12th Cartoon Film Festival Animare curated by SeDiciCorto. Thanks to the collaboration of the Parents' Committees of Bertinoro, Fratta Terme and Santa Maria Nuova, for the first time it takes place in Bertinoro. The evening will crown the winning animated short, selected thanks to the votes of the very young jury (composed of children and teenagers who attended the screenings).

Among the other events of the first day there is also the “Hospitality Walk”, curated by the Bertinoro Cammina Group (7.30 pm) and a moment of live music with Rey Jacks, (9.30 pm, Liberty Square).

Friday 2nd September, starting from 8pm, in Piazza della Libertà the unmissable event with the delicious Harvest Dinner, which will highlight the many quality products of the area.

Always on the square, starting from 10.30pm, the performance of the duo Maurizio Tassani and Luca Maggiore with the “Tassani & Friends”.

Prologue of the evening, always in Piazza della Libertà, at 6pm, theinauguration of the photographic exhibition for the 25th anniversary of the twinning between Bertinoro and the German municipality of Kaufungen.

The ladder of Saturday 3rd September offers several particularly significant moments.

At 4:00 pm, in the church of San Silvestro, the “G. Gatti” Award will be presented to Giovanni Molari, Rector of the Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna.

At 6 pm, in the Town Hall, it will be made tribute to the cyclist Arnaldo Pambianco with the opening of the space dedicated to him: on display his bike and the pink jersey from his victory in the centenary Giro d'Italia (1961), with photos of his splendid career.

At 8.30pm it “Carousel” show presented by the Teatro dei Due Mondi company through the streets of the village, starting from the former prison in via Frangipane.

Also on Saturday, at 9.30 pm, in the Rocca garden, Alex Britti with his concert, one of the most anticipated events of the summer (paid show: www.vivaticket.it).

In Piazza della Libertà, instead, after the arrival of the “Carosello”, from 10 pm, the evening will continue with live music by the Diego Ciccioni Trio.

And here we are, then, at Sunday 4th SeptemberThe highlight of the day will, of course, be the Rite of Hospitality: at 10.30 am. After reaching the square, following the historical procession, the 'foreigners' will be invited to choose one of the envelopes hanging from the Column of Rings and thus discover the identity of the person who will host them for lunch. And this year, after two years of limitations due to the pandemic, the people of Bertinoro have finally returned to open the doors of their homes to welcome the guests of the event. 

On Sunday morning, before the Rite of Hospitality, Monsignor Livio Corazza, Bishop of the Diocese of Forlì-Bertinoro, will celebrate Holy Mass in the Cathedral (9 am), while the award ceremony for the New Winemaker, assigned this year to Tenuta del Gelso, will be held at the Monument to the Winemaker (largo Cairoli). 

In the afternoon, again in Piazza della Libertà, there are planned various animation proposals.

At 5:00 pm the interactive show, “L'isola che c'è” sees children as protagonists; at 6:30 pm the concert “Rock E45”, a special performance that unites young musicians from Bertinoro and Kaufungen, the result of the project shared in recent years by their respective music schools; at 9:30 pm, the always awaited show of the Musicanti di San Crispino.

As usual, the Hospitality Festival will be closed by: the spectacular fireworks.

During all the evenings of the Festival, in Piazza della Libertà, the food stand with Romagna cuisine.

While on Saturday and Sunday the following will also be added: friends of Kaufungen with their typical sausages and the inevitable German beer.

During the days of the festival there will always be one Free shuttle departing from the car parks on Via Badia and Via Allende.
