Paolo Cevoli in Forlì, Dragoni Theatre of Meldola

The 2023/24 Season of the Dragoni Theatre in Meldola it begins Thursday 30th November at 9pm with a lively inauguration presented by a “friend” of the Meldola stage, Paolo Cevoli, who will propose the show “I was going 100 miles an hour”.

“I was going 100 miles an hour” were the words of a song by Gianni Morandi in his first single in 1962, a time when reaching 100 miles per hour seemed like a great speed! Today, traveling at that speed on the highway would make you look slow, even to trucks carrying pigs. How things have changed in these years.

Paolo Cevoli, born in 1958 and grandfather of two grandchildren, imagines telling his children's children what life was like when he was a child. He will talk about things that seem absurd today: the absence of internet, rotary phones, black and white TVs, the absence of concepts such as political correctness, separate waste collection (also because at the time almost no waste was produced) and the apericena. A personal story that spans Paolo's entire life up to the present day, not to argue that "once it was better", but rather to understand the roots and find the humorous side in reflecting on ourselves.
