During the inauguration of the exhibition “Utopian seductions. From new materials to Recycled Art. From Piero Manzoni to the latest generations” at the Dino Zoli Foundation in Forlì, which will be open to the public until March 24, 2024, over 250 people participated. The event was inaugurated with institutional greetings from Valerio Melandri, Councilor for Culture of the Municipality of Forlì, and a welcome from Monica Zoli, partner of the Dino Zoli Group. The exhibition was presented by Nadia Stefanel, director of the Dino Zoli Foundation and curator, and by Matteo Galbiati, curator, in the presence of numerous artists and partners of the project, including Rosalia Pasqualino di Marineo, director of the Piero Manzoni Foundation of Milan, and Andrea Cavicchi, president of the Detox Consortium of Prato.
The exhibition includes important loans and works from the permanent collection of the Dino Zoli Foundation, offering a broad overview of contemporary artistic research. Visitors can explore fifty years of artistic reflections, animated by different sensibilities and aesthetic principles, linked to the different historical moments in which the works were created.
Nadia Stefanel and Matteo Galbiati have curated a national and international scouting to understand how the themes of reuse, recycling and eco-sustainability are reflected in artistic practices, also through the use of eco-sustainable and reusable materials. The exhibition presents works made with different media, from sculpture to two-dimensional works, from photography to site-specific installations. Among the artists exhibited are Piero Manzoni, Piero Gilardi and Enrico Cattaneo, together with a new generation of talents.
