From September 9th to 11th 43rd edition of “A day in the Forlimpopoli Fortress”, a historical reenactment inspired by the great celebrations that, in the 16th century, welcomed Brunoro II Zampeschi on his return from France.
It begins Friday 9th September. The first date scheduled is, at 8pm, one guided tour of the Archaeological Museum of Forlimpopoli Tobias Aldini.
But the highlight of the evening is represented by the Renaissance Dinner which will be set up in the portico of Piazza Pompilio starting from 8.45pm: the menu can be consulted on www.ungiornonellarocca.com (Reservation required).
The day of Saturday 10th September is full of events.
In Pompilio squareat 4pm there will be a workshop for kids to build a model of the walls of the Rocca, while from 4.30pm will open their doors onPilgrim's Innthe Renaissance Market.
On the walkways you can visit the exhibition dedicated to the 30 years of activity of the Brunoro II Flag-Wavers Group.
Instead, the moat of the Rocca will host a Historical bow hunting simulation and then the Palio Games.
At 6 pm, in the Council Room, the new edition of “L'innamorato” by Brunoro II Zampeschi will be presented by the publishing house Wordbrige.
In the evening the Moat of the Rocca will come alive with some spectacular initiatives:
At 9pm the “Contest of the Flags” which will see the four districts of Forlimpopoli compete.
Following the celebrations for the 30th anniversary of the Sbandieratori Brunoro II group.
Finally, at 10.30pm a show will be staged aerial acrobatic dance show with the Viky Aerial Team Show
The celebration of the Mass in San Ruffillo, with the offering of candles and the blessing of the flags, at 11.30 will open the program of Sunday 11 September which will culminate in the afternoon, at 17.30 with the historical procession to welcome Count Brunoro II Zampeschi returning from the lands of France.
The celebrations will be opened by one falconry show, while to follow in the Moat of the Rocca there will be duels of armed men, performances by flag-wavers, drummers, jesters and falconry shows.
Grand finale at 9pm with the action show with music, fire, dance and special effects by the group “Lux Arcana”.
“A day in the Rocca of Forlimpopoli” is promoted by Pro Loco Forlimpopoli Aps with the patronage of the Municipality of Forlimpopoli.
