THE GRAND HOTEL
Our story
At the Grand Hotel Castrocaro, every moment feels timeless.
Because our history is a heritage to be experienced.
First opened in 1938 by Umberto di Savoia, it has been skilfully renovated whilst retaining its original architecture, entwining its period atmosphere with elements of contemporary luxury.
Built to welcome illustrious visitors to its spa, its elegance and sophistication have stood out since its origins.
The precious Italian Deco has been designed and decorated by Tito Chini, the exponent and artistic director of the Florentine manufacturer Fornaci San Lorenzo.
The results of his eclectic creativity can be seen in the precious ceramic elements, but also in the various paintings adorning the walls and the polychrome windows in many rooms of the Grand Hotel Castrocaro and the Paglione delle Feste, as well as in the spa. Tito Chini was in fact appointed decorator of the entire complex divided into three buildings, which are still striking today for their profound stylistic unity.
