What to see in Forlì

Piazza Aurelio Saffi
The square, the heart of the city, lies at the centre of the four main avenues. In the centre of the square stands the statue of Aurelio Saffi and its perimeter is surrounded by some of the city's most prestigious buildings. At 128 metres long, the square is among the largest in Italy.

Abbey of San Mercuriale
The Abbey of San Mercuriale is an abbey located in Piazza Aurelio Saffi, in the center of Forlì. It is the most famous building in the city and one of the symbols of the entire Emilia-Romagna and has the dignity of a minor basilica.
The cloister of San Mercuriale, next to the basilica of the same name, is the central part of the abbey. It consists of an open central area surrounded by covered corridors, from which you can access the main convent rooms. It is located between Piazza Saffi and the Piazza XX Settembre behind it.

San Domenico Museums
The facility is located in Piazza Guido da Montefeltro, 12. It has ample parking and is easily accessible. About 15 minutes from the Forlì exit of the A14 motorway or about ten from the railway station.
It often hosts internationally renowned exhibitions, attracting visitors from all over the world. The complex consists of five buildings: Palazzo Pasquali, the Church of St James the Apostle, the Dominican Convent, the Augustinian Convent and the Santa Caterina Hall. Inside you can visit the Forlì Civic Art Gallery.

Villa Mussolini
Villa Carpena (or Villa Mussolini) is located in San Martino in Strada on Via Crocetta and is known to have been the residence of Benito Mussolini, his wife Rachele Guidi and their five children. It is now a museum. Long owned by the Mussolini family, it was bought by a couple of entrepreneurs from Lodi in 2000.

“Franco Agosto” Urban Park
The “Franco Agosto” Urban Park in Forlì is a great friend ready to welcome you into its wide embrace. Fresh and breezy on summer days, evocative and poetic in the harsh winter, it extends over a large area that, with its twenty-six hectares, surrounds the city from the ancient city walls to the more recent outskirts.

Forlì, in the heart of Emilia-Romagna, offers a rich culinary heritage. Forlì cuisine is famous for its passatelli in brodo, a warm and comforting first course, perfect for the coldest days.
No less famous is the piadina, a flat and soft bread that, tasted in the typical kiosks scattered around the city, becomes a unique experience. Often accompanied by squacquerone, a fresh and creamy cheese, the piadina reveals the true flavor of tradition.
