The review includes four evenings dedicated to Forlì narratives and voices, which will be held in the churchyard of the Chiesa del Carmine in Corso Mazzini. The first appointment is set for 27 August with the presentation of the book "Storie di Forlì" by Umberto Pasqui, followed by other meetings on 3, 10 and 17 September. Each event will be followed by a guided tour of the Chiesa del Carmine, curated by Silvia D'Altri and Emanuele Ciani.
Vincenzo Bongiorno, deputy mayor and culture councillor of Forlì, explains that the project aims to offer citizens opportunities to learn more about the characters, events and places of Forlì and its territory. The city, with over two thousand years of history, is rich in opportunities for cultural insights. The review is designed to promote meeting, knowledge and sociability, fundamental elements for improving the quality of life.
Bongiorno also emphasises the importance of rediscovering precious places such as the Chiesa del Carmine, chosen to encourage citizens to visit and appreciate the city's historic centre. This event represents a preview of an itinerary that will be further developed in the spring and summer of 2025, touching various places in the historic centre of Forlì.
The first meeting, on 27 August, will feature Umberto Pasqui, author of the book "Storie di Forlì" (Stories of Forlì), which collects sixty stories of real events, people who existed, and historical places. 3 September will be devoted to the novel "La dama dei Gelsomini" by Lisa Laffi, which tells the story of Caterina Sforza and her daughter Bianca Riario. On 10 September, Gigi Mattarelli and Laura Fiori will present 'Innamorata di Dio. Benedetta Bianchi Porro raccontata ai ragazzi', a biography of the beata from Dovadola. Finally, on 17 September, Mario Proli will close the event with "Storia del commercio in Romagna. Da Roma all'anno 2000", an analysis of the history of commerce in Romagna.
All evenings will be conducted by journalist Pietro Caruso, who will dialogue with the authors. At the end of each meeting, it will be possible to visit the Church of the Carmine, accompanied by Silvia D'Altri and Emanuele Ciani.
